Server History
The journey of our SMP series began with LittleSMP Part I, launched on 19/08/2023. At that time, the server followed a key rule: no one was allowed to enter the End dimension, ensuring that every player had an equal chance to participate in the Ender Dragon battle. However, one player broke the rule, leaked the world seed, and accessed the End early. As a result, LittleSMP Part I was closed after only two days.
This led to the creation of LittleSMP Part II, one of the most active and beloved worlds in the entire series. It lasted for roughly one year and one month, becoming a core memory for many players. Following it came LittleSMP Part III, another well-received season that ran for about six months.
The next chapter was EteriaSMP Part I, marking the end of the “LittleSMP” era which was one of the most memorable experiences I've had as an administrator. EteriaSMP Part I lasted about as long as LittleSMP Part III, but eventually concluded due to player inactivity and numerous unfinished builds from players who never returned.
With that, the decision was made to fully reset the world and begin a new era. This brings us to the current and potentially final season: EteriaSMP Release II, the culmination of everything learned throughout the journey of our SMP series.
My History
In 2023, I became curious about exploring other Minecraft communities through Reddit. After joining several servers and connecting with new players, I gained the confidence to create something different, an SMP fully powered by FabricMC, unlike anything I had managed before.
Hosting and managing Minecraft servers has been one of my long-standing hobbies since 2016. Over the years, I have operated multiple large servers across various gamemodes, including survival, skyblock, skypvp, creative, skywars, and more. However, FabricMC was a completely new experience for me, as all my previous servers were built on Spigot or Paper.
In the beginning, I wasn’t very experienced with plugins, but with time and dedication, I developed many well-designed servers that motivated me to push even further and continue improving. Despite this progress, one challenge has always followed me: server popularity. No matter how well-configured the servers were at the time, many players simply didn’t stay long enough to enjoy them.
Even so, I never gave up. I kept learning, experimenting, and creating new experiences with the goal of offering players something unique, enjoyable, and memorable. That passion continues today with EteriaSMP which was built with care, experience, and a commitment to delivering a true long-term vanilla adventure.
About Me
Hello! My name is Yani which is a short nickname given to me since childhood, derived from “Yannis.” I am the Founder and Administrator of Eteria (EteriaSMP). I was born on 17/03/2005, and at the time of writing this, I am 20 years old.
My main hobbies include technology (especially computers), astronomy, and research. I enjoy configuring a wide range of systems, from servers and operating systems to hardware-level setups. I love trying new things, and whenever I make mistakes, they motivate me to learn, improve, and try again until I succeed.
Since I was young, I’ve always enjoyed riding my bike, going on walks, and traveling abroad. Driving later gave me that same sense of freedom I felt back then, the freedom to move, explore, and discover. I earned my driver’s license in 2024, and the entire process sparked a new hobby that I continue to enjoy today.
I’m also an animal lover. I currently have six cats and one dog, all of which bring a lot of joy to my daily life.
